This series evokes memories of the past by transforming familiar and forgotten objects into wearable art forms.  Things such as a favorite pair of shoes, a loved and cherished toy, overlooked dollhouse furniture, or a box of discarded hair clips and elastics are more than just items that are used as a means to an end.  We develop relationships with the objects we use; in a sense they live within us and become vehicles for recalling people and places.  By breathing new live in these treasures of the past, we begin to examine the emotional relationships between people and their belongings.  This work has been driven by the sentimental value each precious object holds but it’s ultimate intention is for people to reconnect with their playful selves through these bright, charming objects.
