Each mustache ring from this one-of-a-kind series is based on a different person or character in history.  The rings are made from sterling silver and are attached to the band with a hinge, so each mustache moves.  They are magnetically mounted to mirrors for trying on, but can also be worn separately. 

This concept is part of a larger series called Costume Jewelry, which addresses how we present ourselves to the society and the messages that our aesthetic choices say about who we are as individuals.  In essence, every facial hair style or outfit can be considered a costume that allows us to change the message we are sending and effects how we communicate with others.
